known as Halloween, Samhain is the time when the veil between worlds is at it’s thinnest. Celebrated on October the
31st, it is known as the best time to communicate with the spirit realm, and also a good time to keep your guard
against evil spirits wondering about with protection spells.
Though the orientation of Halloween is thought to have originally originated from Samhain it has been
blown way out of proportion with crazy stories of witches, ghosts, and skeletons. Some witches resent the holiday Halloween
because of this.
In my family we celebrate both. We teach our children the difference between the two holidays and enjoy
both. Sometimes we go trick-or-treating on the 30th and do Halloween then and celebrate Samhain at sundown on the
31st.
